Park Development

So much has happened since we began this journey! We are so glad to be able to share our dream with the camping community!

Thanks to the drafting class at North Stokes High school led by Mr. Wayne Fulp, we were able to get a peak at the dream we are wanting to create here on the farm. These are the conceptual drawings of the RV park that we are using to create that dream!

July 18, 2023: Today we broke ground! Equipment arrived early and the driveway was roughed in by lunchtime. While grading was starting, our culvert pipe arrived. It is an amazing feeling to see a dream on paper become a reality in dirt! We are so excited to finally see progress that we can share with all of you!

October-December, 2023: Grading of all 45 sites is now complete! Most sites are 35 ft. wide and 60-75 ft. long. We have tested the drive to each one using a fifth wheel to ensure that every turn is easily made and the entrance and exit into each site is done with ease for our visitors.

The farm sign has been installed on the barn near the entrance to the RV Park.

The well for the park has been drilled and we are blessed with plenty of water! A well house was built to house the supply and pressure tanks.

The septic system has been installed along with the drain field. The system will ensure that all of our sites have full hookup! All of the plumbing and electrical supplies have been ordered and delivered. We are proud of the progress that has been made and are preparing for the infrastructure to be installed.

January, 2024: The wet, winter weather put a halt to visible changes at the park. However, lots of things were still going on to prepare for the park opening. Reservations were opened to the public in February and our reservation and point of sale program was put to the test. We began planning for landscaping the sites and researching the perfect trees to plant for shade around the park. Since we were building on a former soybean field, trees were not on site and were going to be necessary! We began ordering business QR cards, meeting with local farmers for our farm store products, and really promoting for our May 3rd opening date.

February, 2024: Grass is being sown and infrastructure beginning! Once the winter began giving some relief, it was time to start taking care of the large amount of red dirt that was the park. We began sowing grass all around the park and the sites. It was all hands on deck as the opening day was approaching quickly! the plumbing pipes were laid and our park office building arrived.

March, 2024: Infrastructure continuing and landscaping installed. As we quickly began counting down to opening day, the electrical was installed and construction on the interior of the office began. 294 plants, and trees were delivered or picked up and brought on site. Each plant and tree was strategically chosen, placed, and planted to provide our guests with a feeling of privacy and to provide much needed shade for the future. Every plant was planted with our amazing friends’ and family’s help. The picnic pavilion was installed and the playground arrived. Our road sign was installed and the huge task of gravelling the park began.

April, 2024: Finishing touches and final preparations for the opening day of the park are underway! Last month of construction! Final gravel was delivered and spread. Landscaping was completed and pine straw spread. Our park sign arrived and was installed. This truly made it feel real that guests would be arriving SOON! We completed the painting and staining in the park office. Picnic tables and fire rings were placed at each site and the playground was completed. The RV park construction was coming to a close, but the fun of making improvements, adding elements, and getting to share it all with the camping community was just beginning!
